Survey Shows Americans Want to Stay Home

A recent study has revealed that 2 out of 5 homeowners have expressed desire to continue to shop, study, work, exercise, and relax from home after the pandemic.

After polling 1,000 homes, 78% reported uncertainty about their financial future. This, along with several other reasons, contribute to the preference of staying put. It’s no secret that being home can make someone feel safer, and who doesn’t want to feel more secure during these uncertain times?

Security Dealers Should Add More Voice Controlled Items To Their Inventory

With over two-thirds of homes reporting that they have little to no smart devices, there is so much untapped potential for security dealers in the smart realm. Specifically, we’re talking about voice controlled devices.

141 million voice-controlled smart devices were shipped this year alone, and with the pandemic underway, that number is likely to see an increase. If you don’t have voice controlled devices in your inventory, it’s time to re-evaluate.

CES Moving Online For 2021 Show

Not too long ago we were talking about TMA moving all of their events online. Well, CES, the largest consumer show in North America, has decided to do the same. CES has long been known as the place to show off devices ranging from large tech company products, to home security products.

With nearly a quarter of a million attendees, it’s easy to see why this is the “go-to” event of the year. This also will be one of the largest events of its size to go virtual. If all goes well, we could be looking at the future format of large trade shows.
