AvantGuard Is Compliant With UL Virtual Workplace Guidelines In Preparation For COVID-19

Far before the COVID-19 outbreak, Avantguard had been creating an emergency plan in the event that employees couldn’t enter the facilities. The IT team set up an encrypted virtual private network for operators to access the necessary monitoring software. Mobile workstations were provided to operators as well as a list of guidelines and best practices for monitoring virtually.

When UL released new virtual workplace guidelines, AvantGuard was prepared to meet those standards. We believe these measures have helped us to be prepared in these unprecedented times while we’re facing the COVID-19 pandemic.

What Biometric Technology iProov Brings to the Future

London-based biometric technology company, iProov, has created an authentication program that works to protect user’s devices to control onboarding, ID verification, border control, and more.

With their patented technology called “Flashmark”, iProov flashes a series of colors onto the user's face over the span of two and a half seconds, allowing the technology to recognize if a biometric sample is from a living subject at the point of capture. We plan on seeing more and more advancements like this in the security world.
