Residential Insurance Coverage

Insurance coverage for a monitoring center is vastly important. It saves your company from paying out of pocket for damages that might occur. General liability insurance protects you in case someone gets injured on your premises, a technician causes property damage, and if there’s advertising or reputation harm. Professional liability insurance is equally as important, which protects your company if an employee gives a misleading claim.

Commercial Insurance Requirements

Now that we’ve covered residential, let’s move on to commercial insurance requirements. General and professional liability are still essential to have, but another addition to commercial insurance is umbrella coverage, or high limits of insurance.

Since commercial monitoring usually involves greater-valued assets, the insurance limits need to be much higher to maintain proper coverage.

Apple Watch Series 5 Fall Detection

Apple just released its Series 5 Watch, and with that comes the integration of fall detection technology. When the Apple Watch detects a fall, it taps the user on the wrist. From here, users can cancel the alarm, or if no action is taken for more than 60 seconds, a call to emergency services will be placed.

With the continuous improvement in fall detection technology, people are able to receive treatment faster, which allows for a better peace of mind.
