A program called “Clearview AI” has scraped the Internet’s public domain and assembled a database of billions of images from numerous social media platforms. With this database, nearly anyone who has ever had their photo taken can be located within a matter of seconds.

Over 600 law enforcement agencies have purchased access to this database. While it enables lightning fast crime-solving, it could be the end of personal privacy. It raises the question: has technology gone too far?
