The Monitoring Association has started a program to extend its certifications to dealers.
Now, when a dealer works with a 5 Diamond-rated central station, it can also receive a 5 Diamond status and use the branding online and on other marketing materials.
The move was probably made in an effort to encourage dealers to work with 5 Diamond certified central stations.

ISC West took place this week, and there was a lot of really exciting technology on the show floor.
Before the show took place, however, a few items called our attention. The first was a smart sensor developed to monitor a variety of events through a single unit.
The HALO IoT smart sensor, as it is called, is able to monitor breaking glass, gunshots, carbon monoxide, vapor, and smoke.
The second piece of technology that called our attention is software that can be integrated with existing security cameras, and is designed to recognize license plate numbers.
The creators of the software believe the technology will help to combat crime as well as terrorism. I guess we’ll see if they’re right in the years to come.
