About Audrey Pierson

With more than 30 years in the electronic security industry, Audrey knows what it takes to make an alarm company successful. She and her husband, Hugh, launched Pierson Security Systems in 1990 with customer #1 and sold the business 15 years later for several million dollars at a multiple north of 40x. As President and General Manager of the business, Audrey sold every system, including intrusion, fire, access control and video, from small residential customers to multi-million dollar corporate accounts. Having started an alarm company from scratch, Audrey has held every position within an alarm company and knows what is required of each employee.

After selling the alarm company, Audrey continued her career as a manufacturer’s representative and Director of Sales – West, with Digital Monitoring Products (DMP). She worked with alarm companies throughout the western states and managed the western sales team. She has trained salespeople in alarm companies throughout those states.

Audrey then become Vice President of Sales for a regional alarm company with five branches serving Northern California. Directly managing a sales team of 17, she led the sales department through the challenges associated with COVID-19 shutdowns and was able to retain every salesperson, including hiring several more.

With every position, Audrey has honed her industry sales and leadership skills. She is able to quickly identify where and how leadership opportunities exist within an alarm company and move directly to solutions without wasted time and resources. Her salespeople are her best referrals.

Audrey is also founder of the online, virtual Security Sales Academy to train, coach and mentor sales people within the security industry. This virtual learning platform, including live and recorded training, allows sales people around the country to take advantage of Audrey’s 30+ years of selling success.
