Zoom Filters for April Fools

Tomorrow is April Fools Day. What better way to have a little fun with your co-workers than adding a fake mustache, eye-brows or lip color to your Zoom meeting? There’s a beta filter feature now available for Zoom users that lets you add fun filters to your video. Here’s how:

Adding Video Filters in Zoom

Accessing these filters in Zoom is quite easy. When you open Zoom, click the little gears icon in the top right hand corner.

This will take you to the settings menu. From here, go down the left side bar to “background & filters.”

From here, in the bottom right-hand corner of the window, there should be a “studio effects (beta)” button. If not, you may need to download the latest version of Zoom.

After you click the button, a side panel will appear to the right with studio effects you can add to your face … funny looking eyebrows, facial hair, change your lip color, etc. You can also access this feature when you’re already in a meeting by clicking the arrow by the video button and selecting “video settings.”

Give it a shot tomorrow without telling your co-workers. Play it off like nothing is out of the ordinary and try not to crack up when you see all the funny looks on their faces. It’s the perfect office-appropriate April Fools joke.
