How Inc. Selects Businesses for the 5000 List
The criteria includes the percentage of revenue growth from 2016 to 2019. The business also has to be privately held during this time period, be present in the United States, and independent without subsidiaries or separate divisions in the company throughout the 2016 to 2019 time period. In 2019, the minimum amount of revenue requirement was two million dollars.
