Dec 01 2010 AvantGuard Operator Cody Sorenson, and Personal Emergency Response System Save Life in Oklahoma Retirement Facility |
A Colorado family has contacted AvantGuard Monitoring Centers to thank Central Station Operator Cody Sorenson who played a vital role in saving their father's life.
The father who lives in a retirment facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma had a fall inside his residence. He was able to press his Medical Alarm Pendant which alerted Cody Sorenson in AvantGuard's Ogden Utah Central Station. Cody took immediate action to notify the retirement center of the situation, and also coordinated a fast response with Emergency Medical Technicians who arrived to find that the subscriber was in the midst of total respiratory failure.
The subscriber was immediately transported to the hospital where Doctors were able to literally bring him back from the dead. According to the family "without his button he would have fallen and passed away, but thanks to the fast action by the monitoring center and the retirement facility he was able to receive help, and we are able to be here and see our father alive."
AvantGuard would like to thank Cody for the outstanding job he has done. We are proud of our highly trained, dedicated, and caring operators like Cody who are dedicated to delivering quick and accurate service when our subscribers need us most.
Great job Cody!
