AvantGuard Monitoring Centers is proud to announce that Justin Bailey has joined our team of executives, and will serve AvantGuard as the Vice President of Strategic Development.

Justin is a 2004 graduate of Brigham Young University's Marriot School of Management and holds a Master's degree in Information Systems Management, as well as a Bachelor's degree in business management. Justin graduated Brigham Young University as the #1 student in his program.

Throughout Justin's career, he has worked for some of the largest organizations in the world. He spent some time with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. developing server software that was installed on all the windows servers in every store throughout the world. Justin's experience with Wal-Mart helped develop his ability to work in teams and within the framework of the largest company in the world.

In a change of pace from software development for servers, Justin took a job with Honeywell International working within the accounting department for the aerospace division. While there he served as head developer on small teams and rewrote two accounting systems that tracked hundreds of millions of dollars.

Most recently, Justin worked as part owner and lead developer of Mind Design Systems, Inc. He completed two major releases of the Usability Testing Environment, a leading website usability testing tool. He also spent significant time consulting on various projects for the U.S. Federal Government. Programming, data analysis, data conversions, and website development were part of his daily routine, along with his responsibilities as part owner.

Through curiosity as well as necessity, Justin is comfortable working with many different environments, databases, and development tools including:

- ASP.NET

- Microsoft Access

- Microsoft Visual Studio

While at Mind Design Systems, Justin began providing consulting services to AvantGuard Monitoring Centers. That relationship grew until it became one of Mind Design Systems' largest clients. While consulting for AvantGuard, Justin developed many custom web applications for standard browsers as well as mobile devices. Additionally he engineered numerous data conversions pulling data from many sources ranging from print-friendly text files to Sybase backup files.

Justin currently resides in North Ogden, Utah with his wife Charlotte, and their four children. In his spare time he enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities including running, mountain biking, skiing, and backpacking.
