In 1977, we began monitoring 300 burglar alarm accounts as a part of Mountain Alarm (a traditional alarm company.) For 28 years, our capabilities and expertise grew tremendously as the use of digital dialers and computerized automation systems were developed. In 2002, we opened a second central station in Tacoma, Washington, and began monitoring other security dealer accounts on a wholesale basis. In 2004, this wholesale monitoring division was branded as AvantGuard Monitoring Centers, but was still owned entirely by Mountain Alarm. In May 2008, Mountain Alarm sold all interests in AvantGuard Monitoring Centers to Josh Garner, who is the president of the company today.
AvantGuard is now a truly independent wholesale alarm monitoring company that provides our services to dealers and their subscribers nationwide. We offer premier wholesale monitoring services from our two fully redundant, UL 2050 Listed, Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) Certified Five Diamond central stations, and are considered a leader in the alarm monitoring industry. We have come a long way since we first started out in 1977, and can contribute a great amount of our success to our dedication to quality service and incredible employees.
