In 1977 we began monitoring 300 burglar alarm accounts as a part of Mountain Alarm, a traditional alarm company.

For 28 years our capabilities and expertise grew tremendously as the use of digital dialers and computerized automation systems were developed. In 2002 we opened a second central station in Tacoma, WA, and we started to monitor other security dealer accounts on a wholesale basis. In 2004 this wholesale monitoring division was branded as AvantGuard Monitoring Centers, but was still owned entirely by Mountain Alarm. In May 2008, Mountain Alarm sold all interests in AvantGuard Monitoring Centers to Josh Garner, who is the president of the company.

Today AvantGuard is a truly independent wholesale alarm monitoring company providing services to dealers nationwide and their subscribers. We offer premier wholesale monitoring services from our two fully redundant, UL Listed, Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) Certified Five Diamond central stations.
