CAT | alarm monitoring
We recognize that our dealers depend on us for their customer’s health, property and safety. When an emergency happens, our central monitoring station is their life line. But, what would happen if that life line was cut? Has it happened before? Would your business even survive? Avant Guard’s innovative toll free reroute, powered by Onetel, eliminates the risk. It’s a game changer!
Let’s review how alarm systems work. Emergency calls are placed to a central monitoring station from an alarm panel, PERS, or by phone. This is the same way they have been connected for decades. The system works very well, almost all of the time, but if something goes wrong when an alarm signal is sent, it can be devastating! Your customer’s property may be damaged or lives may be lost and the liability may be completely yours. Avant Guard’s exclusive toll free reroute system provides you with the security of multiple levels of redundancy to ensure that if an alarm is triggered, the call makes it to our central monitoring station.
Let’s show you how it works. A call is dispatched from a customer’s alarm panel, PERS or telephone. Using the existing pre-programmed toll free number in the alarm panel or PERS unit, the call transverses one of two separate circuits through two separate long distance carriers into our central monitoring station. You heard right! A single toll free number is routed over two different long distance carriers. It sounds impossible but Avant Guard’s exclusive system is really quite simple. Let’s show you how it works with our two central monitoring stations. We already know that Avant Guard’s exclusive reroute technology ensures that if a circuit is down the call is automatically rerouted to another line. But it does much more than that. If something happens to prevent your call from going to one of our monitoring stations, whether the problems is with the circuit, the carrier or the monitoring facility, the call is automatically rerouted to our other facility. It all happens instantaneously, without missing a beat. That’s up to four separate routes to ensure that your alarm signal is connected no matter what. Avant Guard’s exclusive reroute technology makes redundancy redundant, automatically and without interruption, without loosing a beat, without loosing a PERS call, without loosing an alarm signal, without loosing a customer, without loosing a life! The key to this system is using traditional TDM PRI circuits, not Voice Over IP and not SIP. There is virtually no chance for a failed alarm signal.
You may be thinking “This level of security is going to cost me a fortune!”. Avant Guard’s system may in fact cost you less than you are currently spending today. Plus you’ll get the added benefit of a fully redundant network. Your customers and you both benefit.
